This event, held early in May of each year, offers the opportunity for The Palms West Chamber and our local businesses
to express thanks to our area educators for their contributions to the future workforce. Attendees and sponsors return
regularly and give very high grades to this yearend function. The 2010 Teacher Appreciation Social was the best attended

It was held on Thursday, June 3th at the South Florida EXPO Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Nearly 40 local-area restaurants
and caterers were there to offer tasty food samples along with mouth watering chocolate desserts. (143 photos)

Celebrating the annual Holiday Parade's 26th year, this fun-filled, family event is a favorite of the western communities attracting more than 25,000
spectators cheering on hundreds of parade participants and joining in the fun. Parade entries include exhilarating marching bands,
talented baton twirlers and majorettes from local high schools, magnificent strutting horses representing the equestrian community,
and creative floats reflecting the parade theme, which this year is “HOMETOWN HOLIDAYS” - Connecting Family, Friends and Community.
Colorful costume characters and hilarious clowns entertain the children along the parade route on Forest Hill Boulevard through the beautiful
Village of Wellington. This year's parade is generously sponsored by Royal Palm Toyota, Royal Palm Nissan and Royal Palm Mazda located at the

With many of the area's restaurants and specialty food shops plus an equal showing of local businesses, the 12th annual
Taste of the West and Chocolate Lovers Festival was the most successful in the events history say event organizers.
“There were more than 2,200 people who attended – almost 50% more than last year. We are so pleased with the community’s
support,” says Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce Special Events Coordinator Catherine Engel, who spent months organizing the

The Palms West Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Wellington, will help ring in the holidays again this year with its annual holiday parade.
This fun-filled, family event is a favorite of the western communities and attracts more than 80 entries each year - from marching bands and trotting horses, to beautiful and creative floats all reflecting the parade theme. More than 35,000 spectators regularly line the parade route along Forest Hill Boulevard, through the Village of Wellington, to cheer on the participants and join in the fun. It is two hours of "magic" in celebration of the holidays to come!

SalsaFest is a one-day Hispanic festival attended by more than 5,000 people held annually in the City of Greenacres. This event is themed to appeal to this very important segment of our population in Palm Beach County and surrounding South Florida areas. It features nationally recognized performers, dance, food, a children's play area, competitions (dance, domino, Chihuahua races) and business expo. (12 photos)

After Hours Mixers provide nearly 100 chamber members the opportunity for business card exchanges as they discuss business in a social, comfortable and fun atmosphere. Mixers are held at various locations on a monthly basis. (5 photos)

The Taste of the West & Chocolate Lovers Festival is the Chamber’s annual food tasting and business expo held during the first week of June at the Americraft Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The general public enjoys delicious food samples catered by member restaurants and country clubs while having the opportunity to check out products and services provided by business exhibitors. Musical entertainment, celebrity chef appearances, cooking and pie eating contests are also a part of this highly popular and fun event which draws people from all over Palm Beach County. The Chocolate Lovers’ Festival features delectable chocolate samplings with the “People’s Choice” trophy awarded to the “Best Chocolate Dessert” chosen by the attending public. (30 photos)

Leadership Palms West is a comprehensive program with the goal of developing individuals for leadership roles within their organizations or in the community. The four-day program provides an in-depth review of community resources and functions within the chamber's service area and on a county level.
