Teacher Appreciation Social

 The 13^th Annual Teacher Appreciation Celebration had local area teachers commemorating the end of another school year.  Held annually, the May 6^th event at the original Wellington Mall was presented by Geico's local West Palm Beach office and Royal Palm Toyota.

The Palms West Chamber of Commerce's Education Committee organized the event that honored over 200 faculty and staff employed at area schools (including Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee Groves, the Acreage/Loxahatchee and Greenacres).  The attendees were treated to a delicious dinner buffet Gypsy's Horse Irish Pub & Restaurant dinner and refreshment.  The night would not have been complete without the musical DJ stylings of Billy Rose and the disbursement of over 200 gifts to the teachers in attendance.

The 2010 event was said to have the largest attendance since its inception thirteen years ago. "The success of the event was made possible by our sponsors," said Eric Gordon, Vice Chair of Education for the Chamber.  "We would like to thank Steve and Janet Sprague at Geico's local West Palm Beach office, Ira Greenbaum at Royal Palm Toyota, at Guy Grasso and Colin Jackson at Gypsy's Horse Irish Pub and Restaurant, our table sponsors including Bencor Plan Member Services, Costco, Horace Mann Insurance Company, and our fine chamber members who donated many of the prizes.  This is our way of thanking our local area teachers who inspire every day."
