Ambassador of the Year 2009

With a staff of less than 10, the Palms West Chamber of Commerce relies heavily on its volunteers and ambassadors to help welcome and support the local business community. From helping at community events such as WestFest to selling raffle tickets at monthly luncheons, the chamber's ambassadors are an integral part of the organization. Each year, the chamber selects one ambassador who is a stellar representative of the organization. This year the Palms West chamber is proud to announce Jennifer Adams as its 2009 Ambassador of the Year.

Jennifer Adams has been chosen as ambassador of the year due to her volunteerism at all major chamber events. She has volunteered her time at WestFest and Gala committees. She has attended and volunteered to help at all luncheons and mixers. She even sang karaoke at the annual karaoke mixer," said Palms West Chamber of Commerce Membership director Debi Leed. "She has been a great ambassador and we look forward to her continued participation in the year to come."
Adams, a mother of two 15 year-old twin boys, is an independent insurance consultant and benefit coordinator for individuals and the small business market. She provides health, life and dental insurance and for 14 years has been affiliated with one of the largest contracted general agencies for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Amworld Inc. She was also named one of the top qualifying agents in the state in 1997-2000, 2005 & 2006 and represents only state rate-regulated insurance companies.

Adams became involved with the chamber last year through Immediate Past Chairman John Spillane.
"He said that if I wanted to get to know the people in my community that joining the chamber would be a step in the right direction," said Adams. "I am so happy I took his advice and am proud to be a member of such a busy and active chamber. It's like having a family outside your home."
It is very unusual for a member to be named ambassador of the year in such a short time. But, Adams enthusiasm to volunteer for all chamber functions makes it easy to see why she is one of the chamber's most valuable assets. Thank you, Jennifer.
